Summer Abroad in Rome, Italy
Temple University Rome Campus

Study law in Rome for four weeks for an unforgettable, international experience to enhance your legal education and career opportunities.
  • Join a program that has succeeded for over 45 years and educated over 1,000 attorneys.
  • Earn up to 5 ABA-approved credits with classes taught in English by American and European law professors that can later be applied toward a Temple Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree.
  • Build your global network with lawyers and law students from U.S. and international law schools.Temple University’s Rome campus is located on the Tiber River near the Piazza del Popolo in Rome’s historic center. Established in 1966, Temple Rome is an ideal location for study abroad. 
Admission Criteria:

We welcome law students and graduates from non-U.S. law schools to apply. 

International law students and lawyers must have completed at least two (2) years of law school and be able to demonstrate proficiency in English. Please submit:
  1. Completed online application form
  2. Resume
  3. Law school transcript (with certified translation if not in English)
  4. $50 nonrefundable application fee paid via check or money order made payable to Temple University and mailed to the Office of Graduate and International Programs (fee may be waived for applicants not currently in the United States)
  5. Proof of English proficiency by submitting an acceptable test score on the IELTS (6.0 or above), TOEFL (80 or above), Duolingo English Test (105 or above), or scheduling a video interview with a member of our teamA
Applications are accepted in the Fall, and are due by April 1. Extensions may be available upon request.
