Program Description:

Summer Abroad in Rome, Italy
Temple University, Rome Campus

Become a Temple Global Scholar and study international and comparative law in the heart of Rome and immerse yourself in la dolce vita for one month. The Temple University Rome campus is located on the Tiber River within walking distance of many famous historic sites. Classes are taught in English by American and Italian law professors. Field trips are designed to give students an understanding of Italian and European legal history and culture and to prepare Global Scholars for legal practice in a borderless world.

Admission Criteria:
Applicants must have completed their first year of full-time legal studies or its equivalent and be in good academic and disciplinary standing (2.0 GPA) at an American Bar Association accredited law school.  (Temple students are considered for summer program admission after fall semester grades are posted).  Applications are accepted in the Fall, and are due no later than March 1. Our admissions process is selective, and we make admissions decisions on a rolling basis. Students should apply early, as the Italian government requires some foreign nationals to submit substantial paperwork to support a student visa (USA, Japanese, and Canadian nationals exempted from the student visa). Visa application materials are due no later than March 1.  We limit program enrollment to 70 J.D. students.
