Program Description:


Our LLM in Taxation focuses on American tax law.  Those interested in this topic with a civil law background who received their law degree outside the United States are advised to apply to the LLM for Foreign-Trained Lawyers, which allows students to take courses in the subject area:

The LLM in Taxation is a 24 credit program that can often be completed in three semesters.  However, students may take a maximum of four years to complete the degree.  You may enroll full-time (9 credits or more/semester) or part-time (8 credits or less/semester).

A complete application includes:    
- one to two page personal statement
- official law transcripts (received in a sealed envelope from university)
- $50 application fee
- resume

The program also offers a nine credit Estate Planning certificate and an eight credit Employee Benefits certificate.  These credits count toward the 24 for the LLM if you choose to continue in the program.  You may apply to these programs directly:
